Throwing out the baby with the bath water: *A letter to Mr. Conspiracy Theory

Let me explain why communication fails in certain cases of Conspiracy Theory... If I remember correctly, it was said that fluorine, fluoride, whatever, was toxic in large amounts and is purposely put in our water. Fine, I agree that it's no longer needed in our water supply. There are more than enough products on the market with enough fluoride to do the job intended without the extra fluoride in the water supply. The part that bugs me is all the bullshit that's added on top of actual fact that makes me, for one, immediately want to tell you that you're full of shit.

It is the superfluous panic and paranoia agenda based garbage like... "The government is purposely poisoning all of its citizens, the Illuminati is using fluoride in our water to control our minds and make our 'third eyes' crusty with calcium deposits until we're all mindless zombies." These little extras that are added in to "spice up" the story are ridiculous and when I hear them, I don't want to listen anymore. It doesn't matter if some of it turns out to be right. Can you see what I mean, Mr. Conspiracy Theory?

Let's say you want to pass a law in Congress that would truly help people out. Still with me? Now it must come under review before a vote, but other members of Congress decide to attach amendments and clauses to it. They'll vote for it but the want to add a few things first. Now it's all twisted up with extra bullshit even though it is a righteous law that could help people. Now all it needs is the president to pass it... he looks at it and says "What the FÜÇK is this shit?!!! VETO!!!" The law is good but all the extras make it look like nonsense. This is what's happened here...

Let me give you another example... Let's say I have proof that smoking is bad for your health, that the ingredients in cigarette smoke are known to cause cancer in laboratory animals. True, right? O.K. now let's add a little bullshit to spice it up...

"There is a mass conspiracy perpetrated by the followers of Christianity to poison and kill as many citizens of the world so that they can summon Lucifer's demon hoard and bring about the 'End Times'. Christians have been conspiring for centuries, marketing cigarettes to children so that they begin smoking at an early age, ensuring that their chances of dying of cancer are greater. Aliens are, in fact, demons in league with the Christian tobacco companies. Tobacco plants were originally genetically engineered in 'Hell' and transported to earth via 'slip & slide' through the center of the hollow moon and are then planted by alien/demons all around the world."

It's all fact, Mr. Conspiracy Theory. I read it on a computer webpage or watched a YouTube video about it and if you don't believe me, you must be brainwashed or one of them. How's that? Would you believe me? You can't tell me I'm wrong can you?! Oh shit, cigarettes do cause cancer... so, by your reasoning, the whole story must be true!!!

Step right up... Step right up...

Get your "Snake Oil"... er, "Nostrum"... er, "Consciousness Shift"!!! Don't be left behind...

Howdy, rubes... er, folks. I have an idea that will change your life forever. It's called "Thinking outside the box". For too long we have been subjected to the mindless control that is empirical evidence, reason & logic. These methods of control have been imposed upon us by the scientific community & the governments of the world. These destroyers of personal freedom must be stopped & I'll show you how.

What, you ask, are my qualifications? To this I answer... none. But I don't need any because I am free of the restraints of the old established ways of thinking i.e. the so called "Logic,
Reason & Common Sense" of those who threaten my livelihood... er, ability to "think outside the box".
I had a near death experience whilst being analy probed by "Greys" & I awoke days later with "Secret Ancient Knowledge" that has been hidden from us by the world's most "Secret Societies" for millennia. During my N.D.E. I met a spirit guide who taught me all the "Secret Knowledge" of the universe & since then have received regular messages from her. You can too...

She has sent me on a quest to enlighten the human beings of the world & free them from the little extra cash they have in their wallets & purses... er, the oppression of those who control their freedom of thought. My spirit guide has taught me the ancient methods with which to control an initiate... er, used by the initiate to obtain the most "Secret of Secrets". These methods include the use of fear, confusion, drugs, isolation & brainwashing... er, revelation & meditation upon "Universal Truths" which have been revealed to me alone.

Mine is a message of hope & freedom for humanity & the evolution of consciousness; a universe of freedom of thought, peace & love for all. "Trust me"... If you find yourself in doubt about my intentions, it's merely a normal stage in your detoxification of consciousness & means you still don't trust yourself. It will pass as we prepair to enter the "New Age of Free Thought". The religions of the world have failed you... Let me take over where they left off... er, take you on a journey of Truth.

If you have any need for a more thorough understanding of how to "Shift Your Consciousness", I hold nightly "Healing Sessions" in which ladies, single or not, 18-30, are invited to unleash & receive the knowledge of the universe that has been bestowed unto me. I'm well endowed with spiritual prowess & all the better to unsnap that bra strap & get in those panties... er, "unite our consciousness."

In closing I must inform you that your window of opportunity to become enlightened is closing fast as we near the end of the "Mayan Calendar, the Christian End Times, Mutually Assured Destruction & U.F.O. Disclosure". If you're going to free your mind & finally begin to "think outside the box" why not allow me to be your guide? I won't burden your consciousness with "Truth, Reason, Common Sense & Logic". Be free my brothers & sisters... "Believeth in what thou wilt". Believe in U.F.O.s, the Easter Bunny, Bigfoot, Littlefoot & the Great Flying Spaghetti Monster because, they exist my friends!!! Start thinking outside the box & save the world...

Above all else, believe everything I say...

Adult Imaginations: Do some adults never grow up?

The sad truth is that the majority of adults never outgrow their imaginations and choose to retain a childlike mentality. The reason for this is the enablement and encouragement of the culture and society in which such an individual lives. There is an accepted double standard in regard to what is healthy to imagine and by what age a child should give up their imaginary friends or imagined events. A transition toward our "Accepted Reality" is made between the ages of 8 - 12 years, on average, for most children. If the transition is not made by a certain age a child's parents may begin to worry that there might be something terribly wrong with their child's ability to construct a model of reality that is acceptable to the standards of said society or culture.

The belief in concepts such as Santa Claus and Boogey Men are discouraged after a certain age and are dismissed as "imaginary", yet the belief in a personal god and all types of supernatural phenomena are acceptable at any age. This is a double standard and quite hypocritical when one steps back to view the situation using reason, logic and common sense. The undeniable truth is that there is no observable proof to substantiate the belief in the concept of a personal, anthropomorphic deity. There is no evidence for the belief in ghosts or aliens, angels or demons. These concepts are the product of an infantile mind employing the use of imagination to grasp and make sense of natural phenomenon.

Entire industries have evolved to cater to adult figments of the imagination. The belief in alien invasion originated from "Cold War" paranoia and sightings of top secret weapon projects. This particular concept has outgrown the original "Red Scare" and has evolved in such a way that the true origin has been lost completely or twisted into proof and justification for the belief that aliens visit us regularly. The acceptance of this concept allowed for further embellishment so that some individuals wholeheartedly believe aliens have abducted them or rule our society in the guise of our human elected officials.

How much imagination in an adult is too much? When does the belief in imaginary concepts become dangerous to the individual and society at large? Apparently there is no danger in sowing fear and paranoia if it is disguised and accepted as "hidden truth". The same questions can be applied to the belief in the three Abrahamic religions and their countless schismatic offshoots. Nope, no danger at all... That is, unless another culture or society's imaginary friend is different than our own. That, my friends, is how wars are started.
